A one-day cultural festival at Josh Thabe Stadium on Heritage Day 2026, transforming the venue into 7 vibrant zones for performances, markets, workshops and community activities. The event will engage 8,000+ attendees, 65 local vendors and 150+ artists, creating immediate economic impact while establishing lasting creative infrastructure in Sharpeville.

Our proposal directly addresses all MGE priorities: job creation (102 positions), local economic development (R750k+ local spend), social cohesion (intergenerational programming), and creative sector growth (150+ artists trained). Every budget line delivers measurable community benefit within MGE's funding framework and Sharpeville's specific needs.

Youth: 70% of 102 jobs go to ages 1835 through technical roles, vendor opportunities, and artist development programmes. Women: 55% of positions and 60% of vendor stalls reserved for women, with childcare support and safety measures in place. People with Disability: 8% hiring quota, wheelchair-accessible zones, and sign language interpretation for main stage programming.
