Project Description:

Keledi e Tshegadi is a traditional dance production that brings awareness against gender based violence through art. This is the story of an old woman who lost fertility at a young age after she was struck with a sharp object in her stomach by her husband. Her womb was removed during the operation. She then took the decision upon her to fight GBV at all cost.

Impact Description:

Keledi e Tshegadi also creates jobs for women and young people of which some of them normally  are unable to leave the abusive relationships  they are into due to their poor financial backgrounds. Keledi e Tshegadi creates an environment that helps women to heal from abusive memories of the past. This brings back their confidence and speeds up the process of gender equity in different structures.
